WHERE SHE WENT by Gayle Forman

I like the sequel compared to the first book, and reading Adam’s POV is so much better than Mia’s. I can’t help but think that this is somewhat the first book and the other one is just the prequel. The tone is very different, it’s rather melancholic and I really felt Adam’s first-love-gone-cold angst and how he suffered from the sudden fame that engulfed and left him suffocated while trying to dismiss his thoughts of the girl he loved, of the girl he’s trying to forget but her memories keeps crawling back to him and that girl filled his music.

I can’t help but sympathize with him, there is just something about guys who can’t forget the girl they loved and leave them miserable.
